tuesday night was the first “art of grounding with visual journaling” class at Integrative Therapies! it was fun and relaxed, people sipped wine and glued (and re-glued and re-glued) the blank pages of their journals together in a drum leaf binding. we also made paste paper covers for the journals which we will attach next week.
at the end of class i asked that everyone sit down to journal at least 3 times before the next class. each person will make up or find 3 prompts that inspire them to journal. anything can be considered a prompt but here are some examples and websites that have some long lists of different thought-provokers
one word journal prompts – (flip through a dictionary and pick a word at random)
note to my ladies: remember that this is a VISUAL JOURNAL so this means do not limit yourself to writing. draw, paint, collage, scribble, write, paste, rip and tear, do whatever you feel for each entry. each entry should look very different and might even reflect how you are feeling that day – some might be more simple and quiet while others are crazy and colorful. that’s okay!
before you come on tuesday i also asked that you each write down an INTENTION for you journal. what would you like to get out of the class, out of your journaling practice. why are you journaling? you may write this down on a piece of paper that you can later glue into your journal or you may write it on a blank page of your journal.
here is some inspiration for your pages…
