- give this character a name
- this story can be fantastical – a fairy tale, myth, legend, folk tale, tall tale, fable…
- what is the setting of the story? describe the environment
- what is the mood of the story? is it sad, happy, dark, scary, inspiring, goofy, etc
- time period?
- character personality/profession/hobbies/skills/actions
- special powers? magic? curses?
- other secondary characters?
- moral of the story? obstacle to overcome? a quest? a lesson to be learned?
